Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources
College of Agriculture - University of Kirkuk
About the Department
Master's studies were introduced in the department in 2020, and the department has future plans to introduce doctoral studies after completing the requirements for their establishment. The scientific department participated in the Dutch Nuffic programs on water management and soil improvement. The department's faculty members have active participation in scientific committees and discussions inside and outside the university.
The department has two specialized laboratories where practical studies of all subjects included in the department's curriculum are conducted. Frequent scientific visits are also organized for students to various sites, soils, and irrigation projects to increase students' knowledge.
The department is headed by Dr. Daoud Nouri Mahmoud.
