A faculty member at the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Dalshad Rasool Aziz, has succeeded in locally manufacturing a sand bath device through personal efforts, due to the unavailability of such equipment in the laboratories of the Department of Soil and Water Resources and the urgent need for it in conducting postgraduate research.
Aziz explained that this device is used to digest plant and soil samples in a consistent and safe manner. He added that the device can withstand higher temperatures than a water bath, provides uniform heat distribution, and remains stable and secure during operation.
