The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Concludes Its Volleyball Refereeing Course and Distributes Certificates to Participants

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences concluded its specialized volleyball refereeing course, held in cooperation with the Volleyball Sub-Federation, amidst a distinguished organizational atmosphere and active participation from the college students.

The closing ceremony witnessed the distribution of certificates to participants after successfully passing both theoretical and practical exams. This took place in the presence of the President of the Volleyball Sub-Federation, Gailan Sheikh Sattar, the President of the Olympic Committee - Kirkuk Branch, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Saber, alongside the lecturer and international referee, Jassim Safi Khairallah.

The course kicked off on Sunday, April 19, 2026, and lasted for three days, at a rate of three hours per day. International referee Jassim Safi Khairallah lectured in it, covering the most important modern refereeing rules in volleyball, as well as practical applied aspects.

The course organizers emphasized that this initiative comes within the framework of supporting university sports activities and supplying the sports arena with qualified young refereeing cadres. Participants who successfully passed the course requirements were awarded the "Third-Degree Federation Referee" badge.

This course falls within a series of activities through which the college seeks to enhance the practical skills of its students and open future professional horizons in the sports field.
