Establishment of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Kirkuk was established pursuant to University Order No. 7/6/9841 on 2013/8/28, based on the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research letter (Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up) No. M 3/4063 on 2013/8/20, following the recommendation of the University Council and the Sectoral Committee of Physical Education Colleges in Iraqi Universities. It initially originated as the Department of Physical Education established in 2005 under the College of Education for Human Sciences. Pursuant to University Order No. 7/27/2532 on 2015/3/8, the college was renamed from "College of Physical Education" to "College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences."
