Establishment of the College of Physical Education & Sports Sciences
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Kirkuk University was established by University Order 7/6/9841 on August 28, 2013. This followed the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research letter No. M 3/4063 on August 20, 2013, based on the recommendation of the University Council and the Sectoral Authority for Physical Education Colleges in Iraqi Universities. Originally founded in 2005 as the Department of Physical Education under the College of Education for Humanities, its name was officially changed to the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences by University Order 7/27/2532 on March 8, 2015.

• Prof. Dr. Maad Manaa Allawi: Secretary of the College Council.
• Prof. Dr. Shaheen Ramzi Rafiq: Head of the Individual Sports Branch.
• Asst. Prof. Dr. Wiam Amer Abdullah: Head of the Team Sports Branch.
