The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences recently organized a ceremony to celebrate International Women's Day. The event was attended by the faculty's dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Saber, administrative assistants, heads of branches and departments, and a large number of students. The ceremony was held in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit and Women's Empowerment Unit.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem, followed by a speech from the dean of the College. He expressed his support for women in the college and welcomed the guests. The first-stage students then presented a play called "Breaking the Restrictions," under the guidance of assistant lecturers Inas Khader and Aven Fakhri.
The event also included a demonstration of artistic gymnastics by a group of female players from the specialized gymnastics center affiliated with Kirkuk Education's sports activity. Assistant lecturer Hadeel Jassim supervised the presentation. Additionally, a musical piece was performed by student Hussein Mehdi Mohammed.
The ceremony witnessed the opening of the International Women's Day Bazaar with the slogan "Breaking Restrictions." It was prepared and supervised by the head of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up Unit, Firdous Rafik. Government Information and Communication Division official Ali al-Tayeb made the announcement.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the dean of the College presented medals and the Shield of Creativity and Excellence to the participants. The attendees then took commemorative photos in an atmosphere filled with joy and happiness.
