The College of Medicinal and Industrial Plants at Kirkuk University, in cooperation with the Kirkuk Training and Extension Center, organized a workshop entitled "Phytoremediation."
The workshop, presented by Dr. Muhannad Kamal Mustafa, focused on the concept of phytoremediation and the mechanisms for using plants to remove or reduce pollutants from soil, water, and the environment. It also highlighted the most important types of plants capable of absorbing, accumulating, or breaking down polluting elements and compounds.
