A master's thesis at the University of Kirkuk discusses: civil protection for the possession of the idea

The thesis presented by the researcher Mehdi Akram Zein al-Abidin, aimed to identify the forms of assault on the possession of the idea, whether the assault is by disclosure, exploitation, or proportion, and to indicate the legal pillars necessary for the holding of civil liability, and to analyze the means of civil protection available to the owner of the idea in the event of encroachment on his possession of it. The letter concluded that the majority of legal systems affirm that an abstract idea does not enjoy protection, while an idea gains protection if it is embodied in a concrete form, such as writing or recording, which is the beginning of its legal possession. And that the possession of the idea is of a hybrid nature (civil and intellectual), it arises as a result of the physical or mental possession of the idea.
