The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Holds a Workshop Titled "Electronic Extortion: Causes, Mechanisms, and Ways to Eliminate It" in Cooperation with the Community Police

Within the framework of enhancing community awareness and confronting digital challenges, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in cooperation with the Community Police Directorate, held a qualitative workshop titled "Electronic Extortion: Causes, Mechanisms, and Ways to Eliminate It", attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The workshop, delivered by Ahmed Nimat Amin, aimed to highlight the dangers of electronic extortion, which has become a real threat to individuals and society, especially with the widespread use of social media. The workshop also addressed the most prominent causes that lead to falling victim to this type of crime, and the mechanisms adopted by extortionists to lure and exploit victims.

The workshop topics included a detailed presentation of prevention and protection methods, along with practical guidelines on how to deal with cases of electronic extortion, and the importance of immediate reporting to competent authorities, foremost among them the Community Police, to limit the exacerbation of the problem and ensure victim protection.
