A Faculty Member at the College of Physical Education, University of Kirkuk, Achieves a Sports Milestone in a World Table Tennis Championship

Asst. Lect. Omar Iyad Taher, a faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kirkuk and captain of the Iraqi National Table Tennis Team, achieved a remarkable sports milestone during his participation in the global WTT Feeder Istanbul Championship held in the Republic of Turkey.

The faculty member successfully topped the group stage competitions, securing first place. He is the first Iraqi player to achieve this feat in the history of Iraq's participation in WTT world championships, in addition to qualifying for the knockout stages (Play-Offs).

This achievement is considered a qualitative addition to Iraqi sports, reflecting the advanced technical level reached by the national team players. It also represents a source of pride for the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the University of Kirkuk, wishing him continued success and further achievements in the upcoming stages of the championship.
