The University of Kirkuk has opened the solar energy system in a number of its faculties, to contribute to the preservation of the environment by using clean energy sources and reducing dependence on oil and its derivatives, as well as replacing the usual lighting lamps and candles with Spot Light type lamps to reduce electrical energy consumption, the use of photocell for external lighting to reduce fuel waste and reduce labor as its work is automatic.
