The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, in cooperation with the division of women's affairs at the presidency of the University of Kirkuk, organized an awareness seminar on the occasion of the International Day Against Violence Against Women. The seminar dealt with the definition of forms of violence against women and its psychological and social effects. The role of academic institutions in spreading the culture of equality and respect, the importance of legislation and laws in protecting women's rights and enhancing their community participation, as well as the distribution of awareness posters aimed at consolidating the culture of non-violence and enhancing the status of women as an active element in building society.
