In line with the university’s strategic direction to foster international academic cooperation and embed a culture of internationalization—and with the participation of Prof. Dr. Rebwar Mohammed Saeed, Administrative Assistant to the University President—the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Kirkuk organized an introductory workshop on the Erasmus+ program. The workshop explored opportunities for academic cooperation and mobility, in accordance with directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding participation in the "Erasmus Days 2026" events.
The workshop provided an overview of the Erasmus+ program—one of the European Union’s flagship initiatives supporting education, training, and international cooperation—and highlighted the opportunities it offers Iraqi universities. These include academic mobility for students, faculty, and staff, capacity building in higher education (CBHE), and the development of international partnerships.
