Kirkuk University's creative sports program is part of an Iraqi initiative whose motto is "From the land of the two rivers, ideas spring."

The President of Kirkuk University inaugurated the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week Festival, themed "Ideas Take Flight from the Land of Mesopotamia," in the presence of the University's Vice President for Scientific Affairs, the Presidents of the University of Kirkuk, the University of Kirkuk, and the Deans of the Colleges.The University President stated, "Today, we see professors and students showcasing the fruits of their research and innovations. We have listened to the details of these projects, and we believe that the goal of this major project is being achieved."The festival featured projects, some of which have reached the level of patents, scientific research, and pioneering projects, all displayed in a comprehensive exhibition of student innovations and products. It also included a number of engineering and electronic projects, as well as some pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
