Under the supervision of its President, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, the University of Kirkuk has established a Master’s degree program in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery—specializing in Veterinary Microbiology—at the College of Veterinary Medicine, effective from the 2027/2028 academic year.
This initiative follows approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the fulfillment of all requirements and conditions for launching postgraduate studies, and the inclusion of the program in the application and admission plan for the 2027/2028 academic year. Furthermore, the curriculum for the program was developed in consultation with the Committee of Deans.
