The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance in the Presidency of the University held a workshop on the Iraqi classification project for universities for the degree of institutional and program performance, with the participation of heads of scientific departments and directors of quality divisions in colleges. The head of the Quality Assurance Department, Prof. M. Dr.. Abdul Hakim Shakur, the workshop aimed to explain the importance of the Iraqi classification project for universities as one of the means through which it is possible to know the extent of development taking place in the university and colleges and to know the level of achievement of programs and activities of quality and academic accreditation, which means (evaluation, evaluation and motivation) gives an opportunity to know the strengths Weakness and diagnosing it directly to reach advanced ranks within Iraqi universities. As well as enhancing the performance of the university and colleges, improving the university environment and the performance of faculty members, keeping pace with development and achieving better results in the scientific, research and service fields through publishing research in solid scientific journals that help universities improve their positions in international rankings. Dr.. Dia Al-Azzawi said that the importance of obtaining the institutional and program accreditation certificate and focusing on the importance of writing the self-evaluation report in accordance with the national institutional accreditation standards and the self-evaluation report for the scientific departments, comes in accordance with the specialized program accreditation standards and the preparation of the completed and uncompleted improvement plan guide. Dalia Badie Omar, through her lecture, explained the indicators of the degree of performance of the scientific departments of the faculties, including the quality indicator and program accreditation, and how to write a conformity report with standards because it is one of the requirements for obtaining institutional and program accreditation, with an explanation of the mechanism for writing it according to the guideline, stressing the importance of continuous updating of the description of the academic program And its decisions for each scientific department and publishing it on the college website along with the students and graduates axis.
