The Directorate of Internal Affairs held a workshop on combating violence against women, with the participation of a number of employees of the Directorate. The workshop included an explanation of the phenomenon of violence against women in society, as well as how to enable survivors of violence to spread awareness and limit the violation of women's rights. The workshop aimed to, define women of their entitlements In all areas of life in society, and to show the importance of laws and legislation that guarantee the role of women in society without discrimination from some. The workshop recommended the need to increase awareness and community education to reduce violence against women, and to work on continuous coordination between official institutions and civil society organizations to ensure the effectiveness of women’s participation in society and various institutions.
