A master’s thesis in the College of Science discussed the preparation and diagnosis of complexes for derivatives of nitrogen bases and the study of some of their properties, by the student Qassem Rabei Abdullah, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ziad Muhammad Mustafa. The study included the preparation of four ligands for new bases (L1, L2, L3, L4), through The reaction of aromatic amines such as (cytosine and orthophenylene diamine) with aromatic aldehydes such as (vanillin and isovanillin), as well as the preparation of new metal complexes through the reaction of the prepared four ligands with salts (chlorides and sulfates) of metals (II) Mn, Ni(II), II)) Co and Zn( II) and Cu(II) and the identification of complexes and ligands prepared during this study using physical and spectroscopic methods and evaluation of their biological activity against two types of bacteria namely (E.coli) and (Staphylococcus aureus). L3, L4) possesses a two-tooth behavior and all the prepared complexes are electrically neutral and have tetrahedral and planar square geometric shapes.qasem1
