The College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, discussed a doctoral thesis on the effect of partial or total replacement of raw or roasted local sesame seed meal on productive performance and some biochemical characteristics of laying hens’ blood, by student Ali Hadi Muhammad, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Qana Hussein Amin Al-Jabbari.

The study aimed to "know the effect of partial or total replacement with raw or roasted local sesame seed meal on productive performance and some biochemical characteristics of laying hens' blood, and to determine the optimal percentage of replacement."

The study concluded that “partial replacement with raw or roasted local sesame seed meal had a positive effect on the studied traits.”
