The Directorate of Internal Affairs, in cooperation with the Community Police Division in Kirkuk Governorate, held a symposium on drugs and their effects on the individual and society, in the presence of a number of department supervisors and students.The symposium included two lectures, in the first of which the human rights colonel Ghaleb Ali Salih touched on drugs and their dangers and physical harm to the individual as well as clarifying the legal provisions for this crime, including imprisonment and financial fines, while the second lecture was delivered by human rights pioneer Raed Ghanem Ali, in which he shed light on the problems resulting from drug abuse And its negative effects socially, economically and psychologically on individuals in society and how to control it and limit its spread.The symposium aimed at the need for parents to follow up their children constantly, and to report on groups that promote drugs of all kinds, as well as the continuation of the concerned authorities in holding awareness seminars for students and preventing them from falling into the net of drugs.
