The College of Agriculture, Hawija, held a workshop on the preventive measures that must be followed when dealing with pesticides, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students.The workshop aimed to demonstrate the seriousness of toxic pesticides that affect humans, and the importance of using proper methods in the use of pesticides, as well as identifying their types and methods of use in controlling insects and plants.The workshop included a lecture delivered by M.M. Firas Hamad Awwad, in which he explained labor security measures when using pesticides in the control process, the importance of workers having experience when using pesticides, and a statement of the symptoms of poisoning in the affected person such as nausea, headache, and convulsions.
