A master's thesis in the College of Law and Political Science discussed the legal system for investor rights and guarantees / a comparative study, by the student: Malak Hadi Mahdi, and under the supervision of a professor. The study aimed to clarify the concept of the national and foreign investor, foreign capital and investment fields, and to clarify the investor’s rights in terms of advantages, monetary facilities and administrative rights of the investor, and to explain the investor’s legislative guarantees and procedural guarantees. The study concluded that the Iraqi investment law allowed the investor several monetary advantages, including opening The bank account for the purpose of facilitating the investor's access to cash funds to implement the requirements of establishing his investment project, whether in Iraqi or foreign currency inside or outside Iraq, as well as giving him the right to trade only without listing in the Iraqi market for securities. The study recommended the Iraqi legislator to the need to identify important investment sectors that cannot be Executing it, except in the presence of companies with global experience and financial efficiency, and obligating the investment authorities, according to their powers, to grant the investment license in the system of partnership with local companies and investors in them, initially, and not leaving the matter to the choice and will of the foreign investor.
