A master’s thesis in the College of Law and Political Science discussed the husband’s imprisonment and its impact on the marriage contract / a comparative study between law and Sharia for the student: Muthanna Ahmed Nouri, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hamid Sultan Ali. Because of imprisonment, the statement of the jurists’ statements and evidence, and knowledge of the procedures for filing a suit for separation for imprisonment before the Sharia courts, and the procedures for proceeding therein. In addition, knowing the effects of the judge’s separation between the spouses because of imprisonment and the consequences of the imprisoned husband towards his wife. Or in the case of his second marriage without the approval of the court, and that allowing legal seclusion in the correctional institution protects both wives from the harm arising from her husband’s distance, as well as reducing divorce cases.
