A doctoral thesis at the College of Agriculture discussed the effect of maca tuber powder with or without vitamin E on some reproductive and physiological characteristics of Rose 308 broiler mothers, by Samira Hussein Amin, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ammar Qahtan Shanoun and Dr. Nidal Abdel Ghani Mustafa. The study included Knowing the effect of maca tuber powder on semen characteristics and some physiological and histological indicators of broiler mothers' broilers, as well as studying its effect on the stability of sperm storage by cooling for different periods of time and studying its effect on fertility and hatchability characteristics. 1.5 g / kg of feed with or without vitamin E to the ration led to the improvement of the studied characteristics. The study recommended adding maca root powder in the diets of broiler mothers at a concentration of 1.5 g / kg of feed in the pre-sexual stage.
