The College of Agriculture discussed a master’s thesis on evaluating the efficiency of pesticides used in controlling the bush associated with sesame crop and its impact on growth and yield characteristics, by Adel Ali Ahmed, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdel Moeen Shabib Hamad.The study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of the pesticides Trafalan and Fuse Ilid Forte in controlling the bush associated with sesame crop and its effect on growth and yield characteristics.The study concluded the superiority of the pesticide fuse forte + manual hoe for most of the studied traits.The study recommended the use of the pesticide Lilyde Forte + manual hoeing, with the recommended concentration for thin-leaved annual weeds, and a higher concentration than recommended for perennial weeds, especially safflower and thallus, as well as conducting more research and studies on weed control by different methods or different pesticides.
