The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Muhammad Hamid, published a scientific research on the severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection in vaccinated and unvaccinated patients (Severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection in vaccinated and unvaccinated patients in QSCIENCE and the scientific journal JEMTAC located Within SCOPUS containers.

The research dealt with a study of more than 8,000 infected patients in the city of Kirkuk, and more than a thousand vaccinated and infected patients from all over Iraq.

The research concluded, “The vaccine has an effect in reducing the severity of infection, and the fact that infections after the Sinopharm vaccine are generally mild to moderate in severity compared to other vaccines.
