The College of Education for Human Sciences discussed a doctoral thesis on moderation and extremism in Andalusian poetry / the era of Bani al-Ahmar, by student Laila Najat Jihad, and supervised by Prof. Sami Shehab Ahmed. The study dealt with a critical and philosophical topic in an era in which poetry flourished in an unprecedented manner, highlighting the religious, philosophical, social and political trends and explaining its role in directing the poet towards his goal, living with issues and topics and interacting with them, as well as their moral value and effects on souls. The study came out with several recommendations, the most important of which is the poet's belief in his social message and his role in tending to moderation more than extremism, as a fruitful nucleus for guiding society, as well as their presence in abundance among the poets of the era of Bani al-Ahmar.
