The College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk organized a scientific symposium on environmental stress and the challenges of the agricultural reality, in the presence and participation of specialized researchers.

The symposium included two lectures. The first lecture dealt with the physiology of environmental stresses and ways to confront plants (adaptations, acclimatization and resistance) by Dr. Kefaya Ghazi Saeed, while the second lecture showed the role of tissue culture technology in facing environmental stress, by Dr. Ali Muhammad Nouri... and it came out with several recommendations, including Develop plans for the integrated management of agriculture and sustainable development to ensure protection and a clean green environment, develop programs for recycling waste, develop specialized scientific plans using modern technologies and methods that are environmentally friendly, and use biological controls to maintain a balanced environment free of diseases and insects, and combat desertification.
