The two prof published in the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Abdel-Karim, M.M. Ahmed Hassan Gharib, in cooperation with a research team from American and Turkish universities, conducted a scientific research entitled "Heat Transfer Performance in a Channel with Six Dimensions" in the international Journal of Engineering Science and Technology, which is indexed within Clarivate and Scopus containers. The study included prediction of heat transfer coefficients as a number ( Nusselt Nu), friction factor (Darcy f) and Reynolds number (Re) using various methods of regression RCF and artificial neural network (ANN). The models were developed and the optimal methods were chosen for the RCF and ANN models, and the effectiveness of the approach was tested based on practical readings of forced convection through a hexagonal channel. The results showed that one of the regression methods based on RCF is sufficient and accurate to predict (Nu and f), the associated trend is obtained With the variation in Re, and finding better accuracy in the case of special modeling (ANN) and the inability of some models to capture the expectation trend between Re and the target responses, in addition to improving the model by choosing the appropriate number of neurons.cde1
