The College of Law and Political Science discussed the master's thesis entitled "International Election Monitoring / Analytical Study of Elections in Iraq" by student Asan Jumaa Fadel and supervised by Prof. The study aimed to clarify the concept of international monitoring of national elections by defining them and identifying the most important objectives of international monitoring, and the tasks of the international monitoring missions supervising the electoral process, with reference to some examples of the electoral process supervised by the international and regional organization as an observer party for its integrity and transparency The study recommended the necessity of establishing a permanent international organization to monitor elections in various countries of the world, and to be affiliated with the United Nations, and to consist of a group of countries and a number of members of international organizations interested in this regard, and that reports issued by international monitoring missions should be the focus of attention and use. With its recommendations for developing democratic thought within societies and increasing the rates of participation in political life, states should also provide assistance to members of international monitoring missions, and provide appropriate conditions for the work of those missions.
