A master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture discussed the effect of using NPK fertilizer technology on the growth characteristics and yield of two cultivars of potato Solanums tuberosum L planted in the autumn crop, and the awareness of agricultural extension workers in Kirkuk governorate for this technology, by student Vian Jabbar Jalal, and under the supervision of both Prof. Dr. Omar Hashem Musleh, and Dr. Khattab Abdullah Muhammad. The experiment included a two-factor study. The first included six concentrations of nano-fertilizer N20P20K20, which are (zero, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5) g.l-1, while the second factor included two types of imported potatoes (Rivea variety). And the cultivar Marvona) the nano-fertilizer was added in three stages, the first after the completion of the field emergence and the second and third phase after 15 days between spraying and the other. With its different concentrations, it led to a significant increase in all the studied traits, and that the Rivera variety outperformed the Marvona variety, and that the majority of the respondents had a medium and weak awareness of the nano-fertilizer technology, which It means that there is a difficulty in the process of disseminating this technology among farmers, and that young people working in agricultural extension are more aware of technology in the field of agriculture because they are more motivated and aware of information related to modern technologies.
