The lecturer from the Faculty of Science at the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Sarmad Assi Ali, participated in the scientific conference held by the University of Kurdistan of Iran, under the title (Geology and Geochemistry of the Zagros Range and Modern Methods of Mineral Explorations), with the participation of Iraqi and Iranian universities.Dr. Sarmad said, "The aim of participating in the conference is to discuss prospects for joint scientific cooperation between the two universities, and to consolidate scientific and cultural relations in a way that contributes to the development of the educational process and the movement of scientific research in the medical, scientific and humanitarian fields.He added that my participation came with a research paper entitled (Aophiolite complexes in Iraq a key to understanding the tectonic development of the region of creeping faults within the Iraqi Zagros range and the fact that ophiolites with a triple life exist along the border area between Iraq and Iran), as well as my choice as the head of four scientific sessions of the conference.
