Kirkuk University organizes an awareness symposium on combating drugs socially and religiously.

 Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, the College of Agriculture organized the Women’s Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education and the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs, an awareness seminar on combating drugs socially and religiously. .

The symposium aimed to educate university students about the danger of the drug scourge that has become a threat to the societal fabric, and to focus on the religious and social dimensions in combating drugs that have spread among young people in particular.

The symposium included three lectures delivered by him, the first by the Asst. Lect. Maha Kamal Ahmed, the second by Eng. Shawan Najat, and the third by psychotherapist Dr. Issam Emad, through which they demonstrated the need for the family to have a major role in educating its children about the danger of drugs and the health and psychological damage they cause to the user. In addition to some cases leading to death, the media should also have a role in raising the community’s religious and health awareness through all means of social networking sites, and holding awareness seminars and lectures that make the community aware of the danger of drugs, which are now threatening the future of young people.
