In implementation of the ministerial program and the directives of the presidency of the Council of ministers, the University of Kirkuk has established a campaign to tree its corridors and courtyards to increase green spaces.

The president of the University, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, stressed on continuing the afforestation campaign recommended by the prime minister to increase green spaces in the corridors of the University and its colleges, appreciating the efforts of the workers on this campaign, stressing his material and moral support to cover all vacant spaces.
The campaign witnessed the planting of multiple types of evergreen trees, a number of types of roses and fruit trees, as well as laying irrigation lines for all areas and working on their maintenance.

It is worth mentioning that the university is constantly working on the sustainability of trees and paying attention to them and the continuous work at the Agricultural Research Station of the Faculty of Agriculture to provide the University with tree species of various shapes and sizes.
