Coinciding with the start of the new school year.. University of Kirkuk opens a charity festival for handicrafts

The president of the University of Kirkuk, professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, inaugurated a charity festival for handicrafts, artworks and some popular foods, with the participation of the aid portal for economic development, the volunteer peace ambassadors team, the Directorate of Kirkuk municipalities (Taza municipality), and a large number of university employees.

The president of the University pointed out the importance of paying attention to women and enhancing their role and contribution to society by supporting their effective participation in the development process at the level of self, family and society, and making them able to face challenges and enhance their role in all fields, in accordance with our mother culture and the traditions of our Iraqi society.

He praised the efforts made to make this charity festival a success, which contributes to discovering and supporting the talents and artistic abilities of Iraqi women, stressing the University's full support for all endeavors and activities that contribute to supporting the humanitarian and charitable aspects.The official of the division of women's Affairs, M.M. Intisar Saleh Mustafa, that the festival is the first of its kind at the University, and aims to consolidate the concept of entrepreneurship among female students and encourage them to rely on themselves, in a step to support Iraqi women and empower them economically and socially.festival

She added that the festival included the display of paintings embodying the suffering of our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon, spaces for displaying traditional costumes expressing the nationalities of the late city of Kirkuk, a collection of handicrafts, modern accessories, as well as a presentation of the most prominent cuisines that the city is famous for.
