A master's thesis at the Faculty of Science, University of Kirkuk, discussed the evaluation of the geotechnical properties of the soil of the Shawan area /Kirkuk/Iraq/ for the purpose of manufacturing compressed earth bricks. The thesis presented by the student, Aya Khaldun Mohammed, aimed to study the geotechnical, chemical and mineral properties of the soil of the Shawan area in Kirkuk governorate, assess its suitability for the production of pressed earth bricks, compare the engineering properties of the bricks produced with international standards, and highlight the ideal areas for the production of this type of bricks. The geotechnical results showed that the third plant was the most suitable for the production of pressed earth bricks due to its good gradation and high durability compared to other plants.
