With the participation of the University President's Scientific Assistant Professor Ahmed Abdul-Ibrahim al-Obaidi (Ph.D.), a master's thesis in the Faculty of Science at the University of Kirkuk discussed the nuclear composition of open-envelope nuclei using approximate methods. The study which was submitted by the student Wafa Ahmed Mansour aimed to describe the nuclear structure of neutron-rich, 112,114, 116, 118, and 120,122,124Sn isotopes of QRPA, which is self-consistent and relies on the HTV-Barden Cooper-Shriver model (HF-BCS) of different interactions. The study concluded that the model (HF-BCS + QRPA) could be used to describe practical data and to study atom nuclei with open casings using QRPA approximation.
