The Faculty of Pharmacy organized an educational course entitled "How to deal with hazardous chemicals in scientific laboratories", for three days. The course included a lecture in which Esra Kazem Majeed, a chemical lecture, demonstrated the importance of chemicals and how to be careful and to deal with them in scientific laboratories, the use of glass tools in laboratory experiments, the disposal of vapors and gases from the use of chemicals, and how to use de-escalation, filtration and distillation devices. The course recommended adherence to the established guidelines and application of laboratory safety methods in the disposal of chemical waste, acids and bases outside the laboratory after being treated with processing materials to reduce environmental pollution.
