The College of Agriculture organized the eleventh scientific symposium on the cultivation of the yellow corn crop in Kirkuk Governorate, the problems of its marketing, and ways of managing it with the participation of specialized researchers.The symposium aimed to shed light on the yellow corn crop as one of the strategic crops whose cultivation occupies a large part of the agricultural area in the city of Kirkuk. Therefore, attention must be paid to agricultural operations and to identifying the problems facing the cultivation of the crop in order to advance its cultivation.The symposium included several axes in which it shed light on the reality of cultivating the yellow corn crop in the governorate, ways to promote it, and determining the stages and mechanism for receiving the yellow corn crop.

 The symposium recommended the need to expand the yellow maize receiving centers and increase the number of centers, especially in Kirkuk, as it occupies the first place in agriculture and production, and for the state to prepare special sheds for storing and preserving the corn crop until it is distributed to animal breeders or preparing silos, and to provide support to farmers and farmers by providing corn varieties With the largest production and resistance to pests.
