The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Nima Ali Ahmed, honored the winning team for football tournament for students of the College of Science, organized by the Student Activities Division in the college, with the participation of 15 teams of students of the college’s departments.The president of the university said that there is a great interest and direction by the university to develop sports activities and improve students’ capabilities, stressing the role of sports in enhancing the spirit of love, cooperation, and scientific competition among students.The official of the Student Activities Division at the college, Fadel Khaled Abdullah, stated, "The tournament, in which 15 teams from various departments of the college participated, concluded with the victory of the Chemistry Department team, the third stage, over the team of the Life Sciences Department, the fourth stage, with a score of 4-0, in the presence of the dean of the college and a number of faculty, staff, and students which prizes, medals and gifts were distributed to the winning teams and the organizing committee of the tournament.
