Several faculties of the University of Kirkuk organized a celebration on the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on the eighth of March of each year, with the participation of several deans, affiliates, and students of the faculties.The celebration included holding several events, offering congratulations and blessings to all women, distributing roses, explaining their role in government institutions and they're giving to the humanitarian community, and their participation in raising an educated and aware generation, as well as their role in leading society towards progress and prosperity.The celebration aimed to highlight the role of women in society through raising generations and their efforts to develop a conscious and educated society that is scientifically, humanly, and culturally complete, as they represent half of society, so every year and women are all good and peaceful.It is worth noting that various types of handicrafts were shown, such as carving, drawing, decoration, knitting, bags, making bouquets of roses, accessories, watches, and books, as well as giving a theatrical performance.The faculties of (veterinary medicine, law, and political science, pharmacy, agriculture, nursing, arts, basic education, computer science and information technology, dentistry, as well as internal departments) participated in the ceremony.
