A Master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, examined the response of young Salimi pomegranate trees to spraying with chitosan, nitrogen, and humic acid.

The thesis, submitted by the student Kojar Nizam Mohammed Ridha, aimed to improve vegetative growth and chemical content of young Salimi pomegranate trees during their early growth stages in the orchard, identify the best levels of the individual factors under study, and determine the best combination of these factors.

The study concluded that spraying with chitosan, humic acid, and nitrogen played an important role in improving most vegetative growth characteristics and mineral content of Salimi pomegranate trees under the conditions of the study.
