Leadership and excellence in the field of smart agriculture, effective contribution to achieving food security and sustainable agricultural development, and the provision of distinguished community services.
Mission
To provide students with the knowledge and skills appropriate to the fields of smart agriculture and modern agricultural technology, develop their research and innovation capabilities, and encourage them to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices. This is achieved by offering high-quality academic programs that keep pace with the latest scientific and technological developments in smart agriculture, providing an educational environment that stimulates and supports innovation and creativity, developing students' critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, strengthening cooperation with local, regional, and international agricultural and research institutions, and contributing to raising awareness of the importance of smart agriculture and its role in sustainable development.
Objectives
- Prepare distinguished graduates who possess the knowledge and skills necessary to apply smart agriculture technologies in various agricultural operations.
- Conduct applied and innovative scientific research in smart agriculture that contributes to addressing the challenges facing the agricultural sector and improving productivity and sustainability.
- Localize modern smart agriculture technologies and train farmers and agricultural engineers in their use.
- Provide consultations and technical services to agricultural institutions and farmers to support the development of the agricultural sector and improve its performance.
- Establish effective partnerships with educational, research, and agricultural institutions at the local, regional, and international levels to exchange expertise and knowledge.
- Raise awareness of the importance of smart agriculture and its role in achieving food security and sustainable development through seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Continuously update curricula to keep pace with the latest developments in smart agriculture and meet labor-market needs.
