A Master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, examined the assessment of soil quality in selected areas of Kirkuk Governorate.
The thesis, submitted by student Ali Adel Mohammed Ali, aimed to determine the level of soil quality in selected areas of Kirkuk Governorate that differ in land use, assess the extent to which soils are affected by agricultural practices and different land uses, and identify the factors with the greatest influence on soil quality through the study of various soil quality indicators.
The study concluded that there were clear variations in the morphological, physical, and chemical properties of the soils in the study area according to differences in land use, demonstrating the significant role of natural factors and agricultural management in the development of soil properties.
