A Master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, examined “The Effect of Organic Fertilizer Application and Zinc Foliar Spray on the Growth and Yield of Fig Trees.”
The thesis, submitted by Banar Hussein Bayez Rashid, aimed to promote the vegetative growth of the Khalo Bazian fig cultivar, evaluate its chemical composition through the application of organic fertilizer and zinc foliar spray, and improve both the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the fruits while increasing overall yield.
The study concluded that the application of 150 mL of Biochar organic fertilizer per tree combined with foliar spraying of zinc at a concentration of 40 mg/L resulted in significant improvements in the growth, yield, and fruit quality traits evaluated during the study.
