Awareness Lecture at Kirkuk University on Methods to Overcome Exam Anxiety

The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the College of Agriculture organized an awareness lecture for first-year students on strategies to overcome exam anxiety.

During the lecture, Assistant Lecturer Maha Ahmed Kamal, head of the unit, outlined key methods to address exam-related stress, including:

  • Psychological approaches: Early preparation, creating a study plan, repetition and review of materials, and maintaining positive thinking.

  • Physical methods: Regular exercise, eating healthy meals, and ensuring adequate sleep.

  • Emotional techniques: Connecting with friends and family, practicing meditation and relaxation, and engaging in recreational activities.

  • Additional strategies: Seeking professional help when needed, focusing on future goals, and performing breathing exercises.

The lecture emphasized a holistic approach to managing exam stress, combining mental, physical, and emotional well-being to empower students academically and personally.
