An awareness seminar at the College of Agriculture on the scourge of drugs, its dangers and ways to treat it

Under the patronage of the respected President of Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an awareness seminar on the scourge of drugs, its dangers and ways to treat it, with the attendance and participation of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ammar Qahtan Sha'noon, and the faculty members, affiliates and students of the college.

The seminar included two lectures, the first of which dealt with the legal aspect of drug trade, use and promotion, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Saadoun Hassib Aref, while the second lecture dealt with the religious aspect and the prohibition of drug trade and use, delivered by Asst. Lect. Maha Ahmed Kamal.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness among the young generation in universities about the danger of this dangerous scourge, which has become a threat to future generations, due to its deadly health repercussions and social and economic problems that threaten the social fabric.
