The official in charge of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, Ms. Shawabo Omar Ali, explained that, based on the instructions issued by the Office of the President of the Republic, the Department of Women’s Affairs, and the Office of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, it is necessary for the formations affiliated with the Ministry to conduct research and studies for the purpose of finding appropriate solutions to the phenomenon of homelessness and dropout. From schools and begging shelters, and conducting surveys on domestically abused students, and in coordination with women’s affairs divisions and units, this symposium was organized as part of an awareness campaign launched by the College of Agriculture to reduce the harms of domestic violence, explain its negative effects, and protect the family and childhood.
The symposium included a lecture given by Professor Imdad Saleh, a member of the Kirkuk Center for Scientific Miracles, in which he explained the importance of the family in building a person by instilling moral and human values in him through the application of religious teachings in education.
