The Women’s Affairs Unit in the College of Agriculture organized a seminar titled “Women: Leadership and Sustainable Development,” with the participation of faculty members, staff, and students.
The seminar included a lecture presented by Dr. Dhikra Ahmed Hassan, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, in which she emphasized the importance of strengthening women’s self-empowerment, recognizing their value and capabilities, and supporting their ability to make decisions that influence both their professional and personal lives. She also highlighted the need for continuous training and development to enhance women’s professional efficiency across various fields.
Dr. Dhikra stressed that the empowerment of women is the empowerment of society as a whole, and that supporting women is not only a moral or social responsibility, but an essential requirement for achieving sustainable development and prosperity in all sectors.
