A lecturer at Kirkuk University lectures in a training course on the importance of solar energy systems in modern irrigation methods

The lecturer and head of the Department of Field Crops at the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Khattab Abdullah Mohammed, participated as a lecturer in the training course organized by the Agricultural Guidance and Training Center in cooperation with the Kirkuk Agriculture Directorate and the Local Union of Agricultural Associations, on the importance of solar energy systems and how to use them in modern irrigation methods. The lecturer explained that the course included two aspects: theoretical, by giving an introduction to the importance of renewable energy, types of renewable energy and its benefits, and the mechanism of operation of solar energy systems, and practical on how to maintain pumps for solar panels, modern irrigation technologies, and informing the participants about the components of the renewable energy system, the solar energy system, and the method of operation, and explaining its efficiency and comparing it with traditional water extraction systems and systems operating on diesel fuel.
